I seem to be managing quite a few web sites, and I decided it would be a good idea to be able to have a web page where I could launch them all, without needing to open favorites, or store the links on the explorer bar.

Technically, I installed a Windows Home Server at our home in Sezegnin, and found that I could install all the necessary tools to host my own web sites. Many advantages, as this would allow me to access the web site folders using Windows rather than middle aged Unix tools like ftp (file transfer protocol).

The only drawback I can see, is that the speed is not good, as I use the ADSL connection that I have with Swisscom, and when the outside world accessed my web page, it is the unfavorable upload speed that applies.
